We present your guides at NZMTB
Jamie is an adventure guide of many extra ordinary talents. He has a diverse guiding background in many amazing places including in New Zealand, the U.S.A and Antarctica. Jamie started guiding at the young age of 18 and has been at it ever since. Not only does he run sea kayaking trips in Antarctica, teach white water kayaking, take people hiking all over New Zealand but he is also quite the mountain biker. He has traveled extensively around the world finding all sorts of great riding and now it's time for him to show you the best trails in his back yard of NZ!
With a background in outdoor education he is no stranger to teaching people a thing or two. With over 25 years of experience riding bikes (starting at the age of 3) from freestyle BMX to epic back-country adventures with his mountain bike he has a wide range of skills. Pair this with a lot of patience, passion, and one of the best mountain bike trail networks in the world and you have a recipe for success! Whether you are new to the sport, trying to get faster, go bigger, or just have a guide to show you some hidden gems, Jamie has you covered.
Sam is about as local as you get in Rotorua, New Zealand's hub of mountain biking. With a background in Outdoor Education, he is great at breaking down skills and delivering it in a way that is simple to improve peoples riding. He knows Whakarewarewa Forest like the back of his hand and almost the rest of the North Island because Sam's real passion is getting out into the back country. This involves trawling maps and dreaming up big adventures to get out into New Zealand's wilderness. With a guiding history in various locations in the Central North Island, Sam is the man to show you around and teach you a thing or two to make riding your bike even easier!
